About Mike

Mike is Long Island’s premier musical performer for toddler, pre-k and kindergarten age children. His radio show For The Young And The Young At Heart airs weekly on WUSB 90.1 FM. He presents Toddler Music Time shows each month in Long Island bookstores. Mike is also the director of North Shore Musikgarten offering music classes for children 0-5 and their caregivers.

Mike has taught at Crestwood Country Day School, Love Of Learning Montessori, Huntington Montessori, New York University, Jersey City State College, City College of New York and Third Street Music School. He is a classically trained guitarist having studied at Peabody Conservatory and graduated from Manhattan School of Music. The New York Times wrote of Mike’s guitar performance, "impressive debut at Carnegie Recital Hall…the hall was virtually packed with friends and admirers, and indeed there was much for them to admire…"

His children’s cds include Everybody’s On The Bus and Hungry For Manners (Children’s Music Web Award for Best Recording). Two new cds in his current Movin’ With Mike series of motion songs for pre-schoolers will be available this Fall.
